Blackberry Serrano Salsa

I added this to some ground venison with Cajun Blackened Seasoning and some other spices to make Venison Tacos. The sweetness of the blackberry with the other spices was outstanding. Best venison tacos ever!

If I need extra heat, I soak a minced habanero in 2 Tbsp limoncello, and pour the mixture into the dish. Yeah, it adds some wonderful flavor too.

Love the taste. Serrano heat doesn’t linger like other peppers and the blackberry lends a unique rich and delicious flavor to breakfast burritos ect. So freaking good. I can’t find it anywhere besides Walmart and I avoid that store, so I was looking for other ways to purchase it.

I really wanted to like this salsa. First there is no heat at all. I appreciate the raspberry but it overpowers everything and it is too sweet

I love Mrs. Renfro’s salsas and other products. But this variety of salsa seems to be mislabeled. I’ve tried every variety except for the Ghost Pepper variety, and this Blackberry Serrano salsa should be labeled as “MEDIUM” instead of “MEDIUM HOT”. It’s more sweet than any product they offer. It’s a good salsa, don’t get me wrong! But there is very little heat to this one. In fact, the MEDIUM plain salsa is hotter than this one. Just being honest (as I love salsa with a burning passion).
