Carolina Reaper Salsa

Everything from Mrs. Renfro is delicious but the one I cannot be without is the Carolina Reaper salsa. For me, it tastes right and has the right amount of kick. However, most important, I hope everyone at Mrs. Renfro is safe and not badly affected by the flooding going on in Texas now.

I have had a few of Mrs. Renfro’s offerings. There has never been a bad one. My favorite by far is the Carolina Reaper. I love the heat. I love the flavor. I like to use it as the contents of my morning omelet. I hope you stay in business forever.

I love the Carolina Reaper. To me it's equally as hot as Ghost Pepper. Once you get past the heat, the sweet fruity flavor is a great contrast to the smokey Ghost Pepper flavor. Using a bag of Tostitos Hint-of-Lime tortilla chips, I eat Reaper on Monday's, Ghost Pepper on Tuesday's, and keep alternating until I run out of chips by Saturday. I only wish they'd make a 3rd HOT^2 and I would suggest something that is Scorpion Pepper based. Currently going though a jar every other week...

While Mrs. Renfro's Ghost Pepper Salsa offers a satisfying heat level, the Carolina Reaper version falls short. Despite its name, the heat level is surprisingly mild, leaving my taste buds a little disappointed. The flavor profile is still enjoyable, but the lack of a truly intense heat takes away from the overall experience. If you're seeking a truly fiery salsa, the Ghost Pepper version is a better choice.
